I can help you

I like to provide students with a relaxing and professional environment to learn your new skills and develop your musical ability. Adaptable teaching means I create the best situation for each individual to get the best out of their experience. I generally spend the first lesson getting to know the students and seeing how well they understand the piano, as well as their different tastes in music. Once I identify the best way to progress the teaching will start. During lessons, we play a variety of ready-made songs and/or playing from sheet music.

Frequently Asked Questions

My lessons are currently charged at £18.50 per half hour and £35 per hour for all students,

I teach from my home studio located in Reading, RG1 7YT. It is a great place to learn to play that piano with a friendly, relaxing environment. It is also easy to access from other forms of public transport, including Reading West train station which is only a few minutes walk away.

Unfortunately, I am currently only accepting adult students due to having a high number of young learners. However, you are welcome to enquire about piano lessons for your children and I will inform you of the current waiting time for lessons for young students.

I do offer gift vouchers; please do not hesitate to contact me either by telephone or email.

Depending on your entry level the lessons will include working from worksheets and books or looking at more advanced music in the genre of your choice. Scores from ready-made songs will be available and as we progress we can start working on writing our own scores if required. We will also concentrate on playing techniques such as hand position and pedalling. For more advanced students, working on classical pieces simply for pleasure, or exam work up to grade eight and beyond is possible.
